Jigsaw Dance School Holiday Workshop – Cheerleading
JIGSAW DANCE CHEERLEADING SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP
We are so proud to present our lovely professional cheerleading girls Miss Tayla and Miss Emma to run our School Holiday Workshop this year. Your children will enjoy a fun filled day of jumps, kicks, leaps, turns and pom pom shaking to burn up all that school holiday energy.
WHERE: Jigsaw Dance Studio Unit 10 of 5 Gladstone Rd Castle Hill
WHEN: Thursday 16th April 2015 (9:00am TO 3:30pm)
WHAT TO BRING:
- Some comfy clothes (and a jumper).
- Your dance shoes or some comfy sneakers.
- Morning tea and lunch (there will be a small snack canteen there selling water and a few basic snacks) however you will need a packed lunch (just like school days – no nut products please)
- A smile and an eagerness to try anything
COST: $65.00 per child (family discounts for multiple children each subsequent child is only $50)
The entire day will be ran from the one location, which we have an upstairs and downstairs studio. Classes will be broken into a Junior class and an Intermediate class. (based on ages of enrolled students)

HARRISON LEE WORLDS BEST JUNIOR BALLET DANCER…
We received a call from Harrison Lee’s mum letting us know the great news that Harrison just won the Prix De Lausanne in Paris.
He has certainly kicked on since flapping his arms to The Wiggles and Hi Five and Jigsaw Dance some 10 years ago. Some exciting news in the future is that Harrison may make a guest appearance in some of our Senior Ballet classes. Will be very inspirational for our girls….. Ill keep you posted.
Check out the attached video of Harrison crowned best junior ballet dancer in the world…(not a bad title for 15 years of age) Well done Harrison. Harrison trains in our Studio at Castle Hill in between his busy competition schedule. We are just so proud of Harrison and his achievements in ballet…what an amazing boy.

The studio is available to hire from 5am till midnight any night of the week. The studio offers a fantastic open space with fans and air conditioning. Excellent lighting, toilet and disabled toilet facilities. 2 x large dance studio spaces both with ballet barres, mirrors and sound systems.
The studios for hire also boast a large foyer and waiting area and plenty of off street and under cover parking. As 2015 draws nearer, now is the time to plan your timetable and secure space before it is taken.

Australian School Dance is currently seeking to employ casual dance teachers to deliver classes in the Hills District of Sydney. Various studios located at Castle Hill and Kellyville NSW.

We require professional and committed dance teachers who are skilled in a variety of dance styles which may include jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, acrobatics, singing, drama, zumba and international cultural dances.
Our dance teachers will be required to learn our choreography and then teach it to children between 18 months of age to 18 years of age. Work hours will be during standard school terms (approximately 40 weeks per year. Morning and afternoon classes available.
All applicants must be experienced in dance with teaching experience is desirable.
Applicants need to be well presented, energetic, motivated and especially reliable. Own transport is essential. All applicants will be required to undergo a Working with Children Screening.

Studios are very similar in configuration and layout. Upstairs studio is air-conditioned with lower roof. Downstairs studio has 6 metre room with fan installed. Both are fully equipped with mirrors, sprung dance floor and ballet barres. Any questions we are happy to answer them.

A Rising Star from Castle Hill
Recently, Harrison has been training at the Jigsaw Dance HQ venue in Castle Hill, perfecting his craft for upcoming events and competitions. Watching him refine his skills on familiar ground has been nothing short of inspiring.
An excerpt from Hills News highlights Harrison’s journey:
- At just 13 years old, Harrison has made significant strides toward his dream of becoming a classical ballet dancer.
- He was named the most outstanding dancer in the Isobel Anderson Award for the second time in Sydney.
- In New Zealand, Harrison claimed first prize in the prestigious Alana Haines Australasia (AHA) Awards and won the audience choice award for the most popular dancer.
Incredible Opportunities and Recognition
As a result of his victories, Harrison received:
- $1500 in prize money from the Isobel Anderson Award.
- $3000 in prize money and a scholarship to the Royal Ballet School London summer school from the AHA Awards.
Harrison’s mother, Cindy Lee, expressed her excitement and support as she prepares to take him to the summer school in London this July—a significant step toward his dream of dancing with the Royal Ballet.
The Alana Haines Trust, established in 1990 by Greg and Katie Haines, honours the memory of their daughter Alana and supports young dancers like Harrison in achieving their aspirations.
